Director & PDSO
Karen came to EFI back when we had a second location in Lawrenceville, GA. She managed that location for four years until the schools were consolidated and Karen began managing the Roswell location.
Karen loves helping people! Most of the students she works with have questions about how to obtain an I-20 for an F1 Student Visa. She’s thankful for the opportunity she has to meet people from around the world and help them obtain their dream of coming to the US to study English.
Working out early in the morning before work and hiking on the weekends are among Karen’s favorite activities. She also loves taking continuing education classes. Recently she obtained her PHR certification in Human Resources and currently she’s taking a 12-week Leadership training class.
If you can’t find Karen working at EFI, you can find her hiking on trails around Roswell and Atlanta. Her favorite day is Sunday. She starts her day off by going to Passion City Church and then relaxing with friends or reading.
Karen was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but she has been living in and around Atlanta for over 30 years.
Karen has gone on numerous mission trips around the world, including Belize, Romania, and Spain. Twice a month she volunteers with Wellspring Living. This Atlanta-based organization rescues young girls, ages 12 – 18 from sex trafficking. They provide the emotional, financial and educational support that these girls desperately need. Karen holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Georgia.
